This little corner of the internet started as my own personal experiment: what happens when you take all the beautiful ideas from wellness books, morning routines, and positive-living practices… and actually test them against the most basic thing your body needs every single day? Turns out, for me, the answer was water.


How It All Started

A few years ago I was doing “all the right things.” I had the yoga mat, the gratitude journal, the carefully chosen books on my nightstand, the reusable everything. On the outside, my life looked pretty positivity-filled. But inside? I was walking around with this low-grade fog — tired even after eight hours of sleep, brain a little slow, skin not quite glowing the way the influencers promised.

I kept thinking I just needed a better habit, a new supplement, or maybe one more affirmation. Then a neighbor casually mentioned her own water test, and something shifted. I ordered a simple mail-in kit on a whim, and when the results came back… well, let’s just say it was the first time I realized my “perfect” morning routine was being quietly undermined by the very first thing I put in my body each day.

That moment changed everything. I started digging deeper, reading about water quality in a way that felt personal instead of scary, and slowly began making small, doable changes. The fog lifted. My energy came back. Even my houseplants perked up. And suddenly all those positive-living practices I’d been doing for years started working better than ever.

That’s when I decided to create Positively You — not as another preachy wellness blog, but as a real, honest space where we can talk about the foundations that actually matter. The stuff nobody puts on the pretty Pinterest boards but makes the biggest difference in how we feel day to day.
