Direct Filtration Polymer Aids: Review the Supplier Trial Scope
Define filter-run, headloss, outlet quality and cleaning evidence before buying a polymer aid for a professional direct-filtration process.

In a direct-filtration process, a polymer-aid purchase needs evidence from the filter duty rather than only from settling jars. There may be no separate clarifier to remove the formed material before filtration. The responsible process team must therefore review how a candidate affects capture, headloss, cleaning and treated-water requirements across a meaningful operating cycle.
Describe the installed filtration arrangement
Provide filter type, media or element details, normal flow, upstream mixing and the existing chemical sequence. Record the operating limits established by the equipment provider and water-system team. Do not assume that a polymer used successfully before a settling tank is suitable for direct filtration without further review.
Include variations in raw-water solids and temperature that the system is expected to handle. Ask what changes would require a different trial rather than forcing all conditions into one product guarantee. Keep application approval distinct from technical performance testing.
Agree filter-specific measurements
Record outlet quality, pressure or headloss development, usable run length and cleaning recovery using the site's approved methods. Compare equivalent loading and cleaning conditions. A longer run is not automatically better if outlet quality deteriorates, and a lower turbidity reading alone does not prove that every water-quality requirement is met.
When requesting samples from Xinqi Polymer, state that the duty is direct filtration. A nonionic PAM reference can inform candidate discussions, but no ion type should be presumed suitable or potable-approved from its name alone.
Include foreseeable variation
The controlled trial should consider the actual dosing and mixing range, under supervision of the responsible team. Document what happens during normal flow transitions and after cleaning. Assess the preparation system at the required rate so incomplete hydration or inconsistent delivery does not distort the product comparison.
Purchase only the supported configuration
Record the filter arrangement, selected grade, preparation method and acceptance conditions together. A future change in filter media, chemical sequence or product identity may require another review. Include monitoring and training costs in the commercial assessment. This is a professional filtration-aid enquiry; domestic cartridges and pitchers should be operated according to their own instructions, with no addition of industrial PAM to improve their apparent performance.
Connect the purchase to the water question
